One of the most important public collections of Modern British art in the world
Our permanent collection displays tell the story of Modern British art from 1900 til now, all within the beautiful interiors of a Queen Anne townhouse.
Our collection will take you on a journey through Modern British art, from the early 20th century right up until the present day. It includes artworks by artists from Duncan Grant, Walter Sickert, Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore, Cathie Pilkington, Andy Goldsworthy, Damien Hirst, Grayson Perry and many more.
From Post-Impressionism to Cubism, Neo-Romanticism to Pop and Neo-classicism to contemporary art, our collections and exhibitions tell the story of British art, all in an intimate domestic setting.
As a precaution against the spread of coronavirus we have removed hard copy versions of our large print labels from the gallery spaces.
We encourage anyone who would like large print labels to download them in advance of their visit.
