Join our Board of Trustees

We are inviting applications from prospective new Trustees with skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Fundraising and philanthropy in museums, galleries and the cultural sector, especially in the context of major capital projects, patrons and supporter schemes and trusts and foundations
  • Commercial, retail and catering
  • Capital projects: architectural design, project management and construction
  • Digital (including systems: CRM, CMS etc) and Communications
  • Professional experience of the museums and galleries sector, including knowledge of public sector policy and funding priorities

We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and previous Board experience is not required. The successful candidate will be given an induction into the working of the Gallery. This is a voluntary role but the Gallery will reimburse Trustees for reasonable travel or out-of-pocket expenses.

Visitor Services Assistant

Permanent, part-time contract: Saturdays and Sundays

Applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Pallant House Gallery is recruiting a permanent part-time Visitor Services Assistant. This role actively contributes to the Gallery’s all-round visitor experience, helping to ensure excellent customer service with a warm welcome. As the first point of contact for visitors, our Visitor Services Assistants are important ambassadors for the Gallery and play a significant role in upholding the Gallery’s brand and values.

The contracted hours for this role are Saturdays and Sundays (please refer to Gallery opening hours), but additional weekday cover may also be available.
