We need your help

Help us make a difference.

Although the Gallery has spent the spring in lockdown, throughout the closure our important work continued behind the scenes. During this period we have seen how important creativity is to health and wellbeing, and we hope that now with arts venues re-opening, the world will continue to recognise the value of art.

It is our mission to share our art with as wide an audience as possible, but we can’t do that without the support of people like you. Did you know only 13% of our annual income come from public subsidy? The Gallery is a charity which relies on the generosity of its donors and we are lucky to receive gifts of all sizes from a range of individuals and organisations. We would be so grateful if you chose to become one of those important people who make it possible for us to exist.

Support our work

Over the next few weeks and months, the costs of maintaining and protecting our collections will continue, as will planning for exciting exhibitions for the future. In these uncertain times your help and support is more essential to us than ever.

Our Development team would be happy to discuss with you the many ways in which you can support our work.

Volunteer with us

At Pallant House Gallery we are very proud of the exhibitions, events and workshops we create, but none of this would be possible without the help of our dedicated team of volunteers.

We are always looking for more people to join this friendly, social team. If you are passionate about art, want to make a contribution to cultural life in Chichester, learn some new skills and make some new friends, then becoming a gallery volunteer could be for you!

We welcome people from all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience, including those with additional support needs.

Visit our Volunteers page for more information and to start filling out your application.

The Coach House

In 2017 we were able to buy the original mews to Pallant House. Reuniting these significant historic properties is not only a matter of making the House complete. It will allow us to take a major leap forward in caring for our collections, studying them and learning from them, and importantly, showing them to the world in a meaningful way. We are excited by the opportunities that this acquisition affords and we are looking forward to sharing our plans with you as soon as we are able.
