Join us for this fun, hands-on Studio session, where you’ll have the chance to connect with Barbara Hepworth’s work through carving your own sculptures in soap. Supported by one of our artist educators, explore the ways you can transform simple bars of soap into your very own organic forms.
The session will begin with some gentle drawing exercises, which you can continue throughout the session if you wish. Those interested in soap carving can use these sketches as a starting point to explore their creativity in 3D.
Everyone is welcome and we actively encourage those with no drawing or carving experience to join us and have a go! This is not a taught workshop, but our artist educator will be on hand to give you advice and support as needed.
This session will be accompanied by background music.
All materials will be provided.
Pallant Café will be open throughout the evening offering a selection of drinks and a Greek inspired menu. You’re welcome to bring drinks purchased in the Café into the Studio drink and draw session.
