Create a richly textured landscape using wet felting in this hands-on textile workshop with artist Helen Peters.
Taking inspiration from the British Landscapes: A Sense of Place exhibition, such as the bold colours and abstract forms of Ivon Hitchens, you’ll explore how colour and shape can inform your own artistic response.
Following a visit to the Gallery, you’ll experiment with wet felting techniques to layer and fuse fibres, building an individual textile landscape. The process encourages a tactile and intuitive approach to composition, translating painted and abstract qualities into textile.
By the end of the workshop, you will have created a unique felted textile piece inspired by your experience of the exhibition.
