Our volunteers’ time, care and commitment shape every aspect of Pallant House Gallery. They share a love and appreciation of art and many of them are accomplished artists themselves. This exhibition is both a celebration of their contribution and their creativity.
The Volunteers’ Art Exhibition offers a platform for our volunteer community to share their artistic abilities and showcase their work. Bringing together a wide range of practices, styles and perspectives, the exhibition reflects the individuality and talent of those who support the Gallery both behind the scenes and in public-facing roles.
There was no set theme or brief, which allowed each artist to choose to present work that was personal and meaningful. The result is a varied and engaging display that invites visitors to discover something unexpected.
The Gallery is grateful to the participating artists for their generosity in sharing their work and, in many cases, offering these works for sale to raise funds for the Gallery. All proceeds will support volunteer initiatives. The exhibition has been organised, curated, and staged as a partnership between volunteers and staff, led by an energetic and driven trio of volunteers and we are hugely thankful for their passion, skills, and enthusiasm.
