Join one of our experienced guides for a tour of our current exhibition, Alfred Wallis: An Artists’ Artist.
Explore our current exhibition Alfred Wallis: An Artists’ Artist with one of our guides and let them share their knowledge and passion for the works in this fascinating exhibition.
Having started painting at the age of 70, Wallis captured the harbours, fishing boats and coastlines of Cornwall from memory, working on discarded cardboard, packaging and household materials. This exhibition sees Wallis’s paintings and works collected by the artists who championed him. Exploring his lasting influence on modernist approaches to perspective, form, colour and composition, the exhibition is a celebration of a body of work that remains entirely unique.
Tours will last approximately 40 minutes and there is a limit of 15 participants.
The tour will not cover the historic house or the Print Room.
