Join us for these unforgettable piano performances surrounded by art in our Reserve Collection room, where music and modern art seamlessly converge. With three Piano Proms each exhibition season, starting at 12pm and lasting around 50 minutes, we showcase talented young pianists from the Royal College of Music. Thanks to the generous loan of Dr John Birch’s Bosendorfer grand piano, these events have become a highlight of our calendar.
How to book?
To book concert tickets, you must purchase a ticket for Gallery entry on the day of the performance – 30 October, 27 November or 18 December. When you add a Gallery ticket to your basket, the concert will be suggested as a ‘special event’ add-on. Please select this option and add it to your basket.
Your admission and event ticket will go directly to supporting the young musicians and the ongoing educational and charitable work of Pallant House Gallery.

Performers
Anson Tang (Friday 30 October):
Pianist Anson Tang has performed internationally, across Europe, Asia, and America, captivating audiences with his deeply emotional performances. Despite challenges related to his physical condition, he became a scholar under the Lee Hysan Foundation and graduated from the prestigious Royal College of Music in London in 2024. He is the first wheelchair user to graduate from the college’s keyboard faculty and is generously supported by Talent Unlimited since 2023. In 2024, he performed at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., marking a major milestone in his career.
Seoyun Baek (Friday 27 November):
Pianist Seoyun Baek began her musical journey at the age of seven, studying with Kijung Han at the Korean National Institute for Gifted in Arts, a program dedicated to nurturing the country’s most promising young artists. Seoyun has earned recognition through various competitions, including the Sejong Competition, Music Teacher’s National Association, Chicago Symphony Orchestra Competition, and the Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists. Most recently, she was awarded 2nd Prize at the Birmingham International Piano Competition, 1st Prize at the 2025 Berlin International Showcase Music Competition, 2nd Prize at the Kendall Taylor Beethoven Piano Competition and received the Special Jury Prize at the 2025 Vienna New Year’s Concert International Music Competition. She was a semi-finalist at the New York Liszt International Piano Competition.
Rishi Mirchandani (Friday 18 December):
After amassing six gold medals in national and international competitions, Indian American pianist Rishi Mirchandani debuted as soloist with the Grammy award-winning Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at the age of 18. He made his first of four appearances at Carnegie Hall in New York at age 12, and he has performed to critical acclaim internationally.
Following postgraduate studies on scholarship at the Manhattan School of Music and the Mannes School of Music (graduating with high honours), Mirchandani is now a committed teacher, joining England’s renowned Charterhouse School this past autumn. He previously served as a Teaching Artist for Midori & Friends and a Teaching Fellow at the Mannes School of Music.
His debut album on the Sono Luminus label is forthcoming in 2027.
