Follow in the footsteps of artist Lubaina Himid, creating a fabulous life-sized figure of your own.

In this Summer Art Club workshop, Artist Educator Louise Dennis will help you create your very own, life-sized, stand up, decorated figure from card. We will gain inspiration by visiting Lubaina Himid’s figures on display in our exhibition, Seeing Each Other: Portraits of Artists, before returning to the studio to start our own masterpieces. There will be an opportunity to decorate your figure with a range of collaged materials and paint to bring your character to life!

What is Summer Art Club?

This is a series of studio workshops for children, exploring a range of media in a fun and friendly environment. These workshops are led by experienced artist educators who specialise in working with children and young people. They are designed for children aged 7+ with a selection of dates across the summer holidays.

Parents or carers are not required to stay for these workshops, although you are welcome to do so should you prefer.

Please provide a packed lunch for your child.

There are six sessions to choose from. Pay £22 per session or mix and match any three for £60. Just add your selected workshops to the basket and the discount will be applied at checkout.
