What can I see for free?
Discover our free exhibitions and displays.
All exhibitions and displays on the ground floor of the gallery are free to access.

The Print Room
In our Print Room you can take an in-depth look at works on paper by selected artists such as Norman Ackroyd, Dorothy Bohm and David Remfry.
You will often find collections that have been donated to us recently by a wide range of individuals, including criminologist Elizabeth Burney and the school caretaker Michael Woodford.

Studio
From children’s activities to workshops for adults, our Studio is a space at the heart of the Gallery that is devoted to the creativity of our visitors and community. When not occupied by a workshop, please feel free to visit and see some of the latest artworks produced by our Community Programme, school groups and other local partnerships.

Garden Gallery
Take a seat in our cafe and enjoy our Garden Gallery displays, ranging from newly arrived works such as Gerald Laing’s iconic ‘Baby Baby Wild Things’ portfolio to works of art produced by our Community Programme.

Courtyard
Visit our Courtyard Garden for a hidden view of our Queen Anne townhouse and discover our Tracey Emin sculpture. It’s the perfect place to relax on a warm day and enjoy a drink or bite to eat from Pallant Restaurant and Café.
Don’t forget, if you’re under 18, a student, a jobseeker or carer you can get free entry to all our exhibitions – see Your Visit for full details on our admission prices.
