School in Residence: Summer Exhibition

[ Exhibition )

This is a FREE exhibition in our Studio on the Ground Floor. If you would like to visit the rest of the Gallery, you will need to purchase an admission ticket.

Join us in celebrating the work of schools who participated in our School in Residence programme in 2024-5.

Our current studio exhibition features the fantastic work of our four Schools in Residence 2024-5. Each residency lasts five weeks, in which pupils have the opportunity to explore and respond to the Gallery’s permanent collection and our temporary exhibitions. This year, pupils’ work drew inspiration from three exhibitions –  Seeing Each Other: Portraits of Artists, Rana Begum: No. 1367 Mesh and our recent print room exhibition, Ideas for Sculpture.

Our Schools in Residence 2024-5 were:

  • Chichester Free School
  • Westbourne Primary School
  • Redbridge Community School
  • Manor Green College

This exhibition can be visited for FREE and is situated in our Studio on the ground floor of the Gallery.

As part of your visit, why not also take part in our FREE self-led Portrait Parade studio activity? Inspired by our current exhibition, we are encouraging everyone to create a mini 3D decorated portrait and add it to our collaborative wall.

Thanks to the generous support of our funders, Eridge Trust and the Gallery’s Principle Partner, Dreweatts, our School in Residence programme is FREE for all participating schools.
