Join us in the Gallery for fun and creative family activities during the summer holidays.
Hop on over to the Gallery during the summer holidays for a creative day out! Our beautiful townhouse is packed full of amazing art and exhibitions that will inspire and delight all ages. From our stunning collection of Modern British art to our interactive family activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Don’t forget, under 18s get free entry to the Gallery.
Free activities
Saturday Art and Craft
Be inspired by our changing exhibitions throughout the year and take part in a creative and relaxed workshop session. Whether it is block printing or creating a collage, these activities are suitable for all ages and abilities and make a wonderful addition to a family day out!
When? 26 August – You can drop-in and take part at any time between 11am and 1pm.
Where? Studio
Any 2 accompanying adults can enjoy half price admission to the Gallery (admission is free for under 18s).
Find Gwen John’s Cat
Gwen John’s tortoiseshell cat, Edgar Quinet, has decided to go exploring in our Queen Anne Townhouse. Can you find all eight pictures hiding in the gallery?
If you successfully find all the hidden cats, you can enter into a prize draw to win art materials and one year’s joint membership for a parent or guardian.

Life Drawing Drop-In
Easels at the ready! In this free self-directed drawing activity find the materials to draw your family members, taking turns to be the artist and the muse.
