Early Years Online Workshop | Colourful Characters
Free
[ Online Workshop )
We are going to be thinking about some of the colourful shapes and patterns we can see on clothes and in art. We will be using the story Where’s My Jumper by Nicola Slater and selected works from our collections as inspiration. Then using some of our favourite clothes, with paper and colouring materials, we will create some colourful characters of our very own.
Our online workshops will be delivered via Zoom. You will need an internet device with webcam in order to take part. Prior to the workshop please ensure you have registered for a free Zoom account here.
You will need the space and materials listed in order to fully enjoy this session:
- A space to draw and space on the floor to lay out some clothes and materials
- A selection of your child’s favourite clothes (to create the outline of a body shape). Particularly long sleeved tops, jumpers, trousers or skirts or dresses, and socks or tights.
- 3x sheets A4 paper to create a head and two hands.
- Pencil or Crayon for line drawing
- Dry materials for colouring in (pencils, crayons, chalks, whatever you have available)
Please check to ensure that you have everything you need ready prior to the session. If in doubt, please contact Learning Coordinator Alex Bogard at a.bogard@pallant.org.uk.
