A gift in your Will, however large or small, will help to preserve Pallant House Gallery for future generations to enjoy and secure the future of the Gallery in perpetuity.
Mark Gertler, Near Swanage, 1916, Oil on board, Pallant House Gallery (Kearley Bequest, through The Art Fund, 1989)
"It is now more important than ever that individuals make provisions to support the arts and I think a legacy is an easy way of helping to secure the future of a place that can be such an asset. For me Pallant House Gallery is an amazing example of that." Pallant House Gallery Patron
Pallant House Gallery is committed to maintaining the high standard of exhibitions for which it has become known, both nationally and internationally, and its Learning and Community programme which has been recognised as ground-breaking within the art world. To maintain these standards costs money, but the Gallery currently only receives 13% of its running costs from central and local government.
By leaving a gift in your Will, you would be helping the Gallery continue its excellent programme and to achieve its long-term vision of preserving its collections for future generations to enjoy.
Thanks to a new Government initiative, by leaving 10% of your estate to charity, the rate of Inheritance Tax applicable to the rest of the estate is reduced to 36%. Therefore, by giving to Pallant House Gallery you could benefit your beneficiaries as well.
All legacies are paid into the Gallery's Endowment Fund.
If you would like to discuss leaving a legacy to Pallant House Gallery in complete confidence, please contact Elaine Bentley, Head of Development (Tel 01243 770844).
