Join glass artist Karen Ongley-Snook to craft a sparkling festive garland of decorated and tinselled glass pieces.
Step into the festive spirit with a hands-on workshop exploring the beauty of decorated glass. Karen will guide you through the process of decorating tinselled glass pieces, using techniques such as gilding, scraffito and masking to capture shimmering, translucent effects.
Back by popular demand following the Dora Carrington inspired ‘Tinselled Glass’ workshop earlier this year, you’ll create a set of up to five diamond – or square – shaped pieces, each drilled and ready to string into your own striking glass garland. All essential materials are provided, and you’re welcome to bring along your own decorative foils or papers to make your design even more personal.
By the end of the session you’ll have a beautiful handmade garland to take home, a unique festive decoration to brighten your celebrations year after year.
