What to expect?

Beginners can expect to learn the basics of portraiture and build confidence in producing a portrait image. Those who are more comfortable with portraiture can expect to experiment with several different mediums and all will enjoy the opportunity to work with a model in a long pose.

Kate will work to each participants’ individual experience in portraiture and begin the session with some warm up exercises with the model in position. The model will stay in the same pose for long periods for you to capture the image.

There will be a break halfway through. Pallant Café will provide a self-service tea and coffee station in the Studio.

You are welcome to visit Gwen John: Art and Life in London and Paris before or after the workshop at your leisure (included in your workshop ticket). You will not visit the exhibition during the workshop.
