Workshop: Reflections on Lockdown

£35

[ Workshop )

This event has passed.

Inspired by “Birdsong Held Us Together” Lubaina Humid’s response to her lockdown experience during the COVID 19 pandemic and the restrictions imposed on daily life, this creative workshop is designed to enable the participants to express their experiences, thoughts and feelings about this unprecedented time.  Participants will be using a myriad of materials to create their response, including cartridge paper, collage materials and wallpapers.

The workshop will be hosted by Kate Simms. Kate is an artist with a background in advertising who works in a variety of mediums including sculpture, oils, acrylics, inks, mixed media, and printmaking.  Trained by the Royal Drawing School, West Dean College and Outside In, she tutors and mentors artists privately, as well as curating exhibitions.  Widely exhibited, her work is held in private collections across the world.  She is an Ambassador for Pallant House Gallery’s Community Programme.

We will provide materials but you are welcome to bring your own for your response.
