Dawn Gracie

Dawn Gracie is an award winning Chichester based business woman and full time entertainment professional. Her feet are planted in both the vintage and vaudeville worlds where she can be found singing classic hits of the past, as well as producing and hosting her own cabaret shows with a risqué edge. Dawn’s performances are welcoming and immersive, drawing audiences in and involving them in the show.

A Chichester resident for nineteen years, Dawn launched Chichester Cabaret Club in 2016 when she identified the need for alternative entertainment in the city, especially for those amongst the LGBTQ+ community. With her knowledge and connections in the cabaret industry, she crafts each event to be different to the last and audiences and performers travel from far and wide to discover Chichester’s best kept secret. The collaboration with Pallant House Gallery and art tutor Leticia Silva Dos Santos is an exciting development and extension of the work in the creative space and one which Dawn is very excited to be part of.

Leticia Silva Dos Santos

Leticia Silva dos Santos graduated from Bath Spa University in 2018 with a BA(Hons) in Contemporary Arts Practice. In 2019 Leticia worked as an art tutor leading drawing classes at the Victoria & Albert Museum, where she would spend the day leading her students in drawing exercises from the wonderful sculptures on display there. In early 2020 Leticia decided to move to Midhurst with her small son. She wanted to enjoy the slower pace of the countryside and find fresh inspiration to continue developing her personal artistic practice, which has always been inspired by nature and natural forms.

Now having enjoyed spending time working solely as a freelance painter and illustrator, and as the world is seeking reconnection and community, Leticia is bringing her art lessons to the South Downs. Drawing on her time teaching in London and the things she has learnt from exploring the riches of the South Downs, Leticia guides others in accessing their artists’ eye, and how to apply it onto a surface.

Outside the classroom, Leticia continues to paint for herself, and on a private commission basis.

You can follow Leticia on her Facebook and Instagram art class accounts or her artist Facebook and Instagram accounts. Find out more on her website.
