Buy Tickets >Join curators Anne Chisholm and Ariane Bankes as they provide an introduction to the Dora Carrington: Beyond Bloomsbury exhibition with an overview of Carrington’s life and work.
They will share how her talents as an artist and decorator were sui generis, not part of any larger art movement or ‘ism’ of the time, and as such may have been undervalued, for their domestic and essentially personal qualities. They will look at the wider context of her creativity and at the legacy she has left in terms of both taste and lifestyle.
With thanks to the Gallery’s Principal Partner, Dreweatts 1759, for supporting this lecture.
This talk is part of our January Late event. By purchasing this talk ticket you gain free access to our Galleries, exhibitions and drop-in activities from 5-8.30pm.
