Whilst the doors are closed on our exhibition ‘Richard Hamilton: Respective’, our Head of Exhibitions, Louise Weller, brings the exhibition into your home as she shares the themes and ideas behind the artworks.
A leading figure in British Pop Art, Richard Hamilton, was fascinated by the way images are constructed, experimenting with source materials and technical processes and exploring the impact they have on the viewer.
In this day and age, when we find ourselves engaging with ever more sophisticated imagery, are Hamilton’s ideas as relevant as ever?
