Join us during the October Half Term for some fun and creativity for all the family and don’t forget – under 18s enjoy free entry!
We have three fantastic workshops on offer for you:
Saturday Art and Craft
26 October, Drop-in 11am – 1pm
Get creative with us in an art workshop for the whole family, inspired by our changing exhibitions. Whether it’s block printing or creating a collage, these activities are suitable for children over 5.
This is a free event, simply book your free spot and join us on the day.
Make a Hanging Mobile
29 October, 1.30pm – 3pm
Bring a special item from home or choose from our display of interesting objects, to inspire your design and make 2D and 3D objects to hang on your own mobile. This will make a great decoration to hang on your door or in your bedroom! Suitable for children over 6.
£7.50 per child
Make a Mask
31 October, 1.30pm – 3pm
Get creating! Your mask can be scary, funny or even surreal. We will look at abstract self-portraits to get ideas flowing. Suitable for children over 6.
£7.50 per child
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all workshops.
Drop-in activities
You can also pick up one of our Ways of Looking bags to give children a different perspective during their visit. The bags are equipped with a range of fun items to from magnifying glasses to a booklet of questions to help you explore our collection.
Ways of Looking bags can be borrowed at our Welcome Desk free of charge.
