Letterpress Christmas Cards

During this hands-on session, you will learn about the history of letterpress, and get inky using a selection of vintage wood type, try printing with antique illustration blocks and produce your final prints on fully restored vintage Adana printing presses. By the end of the workshop you will have been industrious and created a selection of your very own custom Letterpress Christmas cards to send to your loved ones.

Tom Boulton, aka TYPETOM.COM, trained as a typographic designer and is now a self-taught letterpress artist, designer and printer. With over ten years’ experience Tom has been commissioned by the likes of Tate Modern, Fortnum and Mason, Southbank Centre and The Design Museum. He has been included in the London Design Festival twice and has been featured in publications such as Creative Review, The Telegraph and Country Living and is a D&AD award-winning designer and printer.
