Design your own Ceramic Decorations

In this fun and relaxed workshop, you will learn how to design and carve four of your own ceramic decorations using the sgraffito technique. This workshop will provide you with an introduction and all the materials to experiment with clay. Sgraffito is a form of decoration made by scratching the surface of the clay to reveal a contrasting colour. For an additional charge, you may like to fire your works after the course, please talk to Artist Educator, Iona, on the day.

Iona is a potter, artist, facilitator (and member of Pallant House Gallery’s visitor services team). Iona’s art practice is inspired by everyday objects being converted into ceramic artworks, she has been a member of Partners in Art at Pallant House Gallery and has exhibited in the studios.
