Colourful Landscapes [ 7+ )

Nurture your child’s creativity this Christmas and join us for a fun landscape workshop inspired by our exhibition, John Craxton: A Modern Odyssey.

Inspired by John Craxton’s Landscape with the Elements, children will embark on a journey of colour exploration with a visit to the exhibition. Sketchbooks in hand, they will uncover the secrets of colours and tones that bring an artwork to life.

Back in our Studio, the children will unleash their creativity and bring their chosen landscapes to life – whether it’s a tranquil woodland, majestic mountain, or vibrant cityscape. We’ll also introduce them to the mystical ancient Greek elements of fire, earth, air, and water, adding a touch of mythology to their creations, just like Craxton.

To make their final pieces even more special, we’ll provide an array of materials such as wool, threads, and tissue paper, allowing them to add textures and depth to their artwork.

As a final festive touch, all artworks will be individually wrapped, ready to be shared with loved ones as a meaningful Christmas gift. Who wouldn’t want to receive such a special gift for Christmas?

Things to note

We advise that children wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting a bit dirty.

Please provide a packed lunch and drink for your child. There will be a lunch break during the workshop.

We will be taking photographs during the workshop, if you would prefer your child not to be photographed, just let us know.
