Our Learning Team would like to invite primary and secondary school teachers to our upcoming Continuous Professional Development session focussing on the genre of still life.
Inspired by the Gallery’s current exhibition, The Shape of Things: Still Life in Britain, this CPD session will delve into still life in a new and inspiring way, providing you with ideas and resources to support your teaching and lesson planning, including a Still Life Teachers’ Pack. Activities support learning about the development of the genre from the historic use of symbolic objects, to an emphasis on seeing the extraordinary in the ordinary, experimentation and as a means to address contemporary issues including conflict, consumerism and climate change. This event will feature an introduction to the genre and a workshop session tailored to each Key Stage, led by our Gallery Learning Team.
The session is suitable for teachers of KS2-4 and SEND pupils.
Please note, a maximum of 4 tickets can be booked for each educational organisation.
