Summer Late | The Art of Performance (8pm Entry)

Free

[ Late )

This event has passed.

Join us for a thrilling evening of cabaret performances, musical theatre, life drawing and circus skills inspired by Glyn Philpot: Flesh and Spirit. All entirely free to attend.

**Due to popular demand we have made this extra ticket slot available from 8PM to 10PM.

In our final Summer Late you will get to experience artist Glyn Philpot’s passion for performance. We have put together a fabulous night of entertainment inspired by his many paintings of dancers, cabaret and circus performers.

Entertainment

There will be musical theatre performances by students from the University of Chichester Conservatoire accompanied by Master of Ceremonies, Fred Delius on a lap guitar.

Creative Workshops

Alongside the entertainment, why not take the opportunity to learn a new skill? Be inspired by costumed models and have a go at drawing from life with figurative artist and tutor Wendy Barratt or learn how to hula hoop with Chi Chi Revolver.

Explore the Gallery

Our galleries will be open until 9:30PM for laid-back browsing, giving you the chance to see Glyn Philpot: Flesh and Spirit for free. Our  Assistant curator, Miriam O’Connor-Perks, will  be giving a short talk on the exhibition about Glyn Philpot – find out why The Times described him as a “scandal-hit star”.

Food and drink

There will be a bar serving delicious cocktails and drinks in the courtyard.  Make an evening of it and enjoy a tasty set menu at the Pallant Café. We advise booking a table ahead to avoid disappointment. Book your table here.

Will we see you there? While this is a FREE event, there are limited spaces available, so make sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment!
