Summer Late | Chichester Pride
6 PM - 10 PM
[ Late )
THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT
Join us for a fabulous evening of art, music, and performance in partnership with Chichester Pride.
In celebration of the city’s first ever Pride event, Chichester Pride will be taking over the gallery with a host of fun activities.
This will include performances from local cabaret legend Dawn Gracie, fantastic musical theatre numbers from singer Jeff Raggett and Pride’s very own DJ Lukah on the decks all evening in our courtyard.
Visitors will get free access to the gallery all evening, including our hugely popular temporary exhibition, Glyn Philpot: Flesh and Spirit. With its exploration of queer themes and subjects it is the perfect pairing! There will also be an exciting talk from Booker prize-winning author Alan Hollinghurst at 6PM (more info below).
For history buffs there will be two short talks on Queer History (1900 – 1930) from Chichester College’s, Philip Wilson-Marks and talks by Melissa Hamilton on the wider work of Chichester Pride.
If that wasn’t enough, there will be a Philpot tour with our assistant curator, a Pride Tour on our Bloomberg Connects app exploring queer artists and themes in the Gallery’s collection and a fun drop-in mural workshop facilitated by West Dean College in our Studio.
There will also be a selection of drinks and food served by Pallant Café.
THIS EVENT IS NOW SOLD OUT.
