When Paul Nash went to teach at the Royal College of Art in 1924 he encountered, as he later put it, 'an outbreak of talent'. This was no exaggeration.

Alongside Barnett Freedman, those he singled out for particular praise included Eric Ravilious, Edward Bawden, Norah Braden, Barbara Ker-Seymer, Edward Burra and Enid Marx. This series of four lectures explores the lives and work of these remarkable creative talents, not to mention Nash himself.

All art course sessions include a break, during which tea, coffee and pastries will be served.

Single session £30 [under 30s, £20)

Book all four sessions for £110 [under 30s, £70)

James Russell curated Ravilious and Edward Bawden at Dulwich Picture Gallery. The author of numerous books on these and other artists, he lectures regularly for the Arts Society.
