The Chichester area has been of inspiration to artists from old masters such as Turner, who painted a landscape from Hunston, George Stubbs, who painted three scenes at Goodwood, to contemporary artist such as Andy Goldsworthy, who placed a series of Chalk Stones along a 5 mile South Downs walk.
Chichester has a wide variety of art to discover across six venues. The collections of the Cathedral, Pallant House Gallery, CASS Sculpture Foundation, Otter Gallery, Goodwood House, and Petworth House contain some of the best artworks in the country and are available to view throughout most of the year.
