Art lovers who have yet to see Pallant House Gallery’s summer blockbuster exhibition, ‘Frida Kahlo & Diego Rivera: Masterpieces from the Gelman Collection’ will have an extra opportunity to visit when the Gallery extends its run due to overwhelming popular demand. It will now remain open for an extra week until 9 October 2011.
Over 30 000 visitors have poured through the doors since the exhibition opened on 9 July from throughout the UK and beyond. The show has also been a hit with the critics, receiving glowing reviews from journalists from all the major broadsheets who described it variously as ‘stunning', ‘riveting' and ‘fascinating'.
Director Stefan van Raay says: ‘We have been delighted with the success of the exhibition and are thrilled to give audiences the chance to see it for another week.'
