A studio exhibition showcasing a range of works from the annual schools competition organised by the Chichester Decorative Fine Arts Society (CDFAS) in collaboration with Pallant House Gallery.

Over 260 works were submitted to this year's competition by pupils aged 5-18 from around 20 participating schools, inspired by the theme of ‘light'. Participants were invited to express the subject in any form such as collage, photography, painting, 3D work and screen printing.

This is the fourth time the two organisations have teamed up to provide the opportunity for local school children to have their work displayed in one of the most prestigious galleries in the South. In recent years applicants have been asked to create portraits or respond to work by artists such as Turner and other influences.

Two judging days were held to help finalise and choose 1st 2nd and 3rd prize winners for the four age groups, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16 and over 17.The winners will be announced at a prize-giving ceremony on the 8th December led by the Mayor of Chichester.

Entry is free.
